Exports from the six Central American countries reached $13.9 billion from January to May this year.
The figure is 3 percent less than the same period last year, according to the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration.
The Secretariat attributed the performance to a drop in the international prices of coffee, sugar, palm oil, bananas and gold.
