Central American summit accord aims for customs union

Juan Orlando Hernández, the president of Honduras, renewed his invitation to the region’s countries to join Honduras and Guatemala in a customs union.
Guatemala president Jimmy Morales, recalled that a customs union was first proposed 25 years ago. Since then there has been almost no progress. Meanwhile, Costa Rica, rejoined the regional economic organization, SICA.
