Central Americans lead growth in US immigration

The Central American immigrant population in the United States grew faster than any other from Latin America between 2000 and 2010.
In that 10-year period, the Central American immigrant population grew to 3 million, from 2 million in 2000, according to an analysis by the Migration Policy Institute.
The analysis looked at Census and federal immigration data.
