Chevron Corp sells gas stations to Rubis of France

Friday, November 19, 2010

Chevron Corp, the second-largest US oil company, said it would sell its fuels marketing and aviation businesses in parts of the Caribbean and Central America to a subsidiary of France's Rubis.

Vitogaz will buy 174 Texaco-branded service stations in more than a dozen countries, a stake in an associated refinery, fuel terminal and aviation facility interests, and a commercial and industrial fuels business.

The deal, for which there was no disclosed value, is part of Chevron's previously detailed plans to restructure its worldwide portfolio.
