China and Venezuela are two new main trading partners of Central America

The United States remains the principal trading partner of Central America, but China and Venezuela have emerged as new challengers.
Central America’s total trade registered $49 billion least year, a 4.85 percent increase.
With the exception of Honduras, all the region’s countries increased their trade, while Nicaragua led the way.
