China helps build key Costa Rican trade highway

Transport of trade from northern Costa Rica will move faster to the Caribbean ports, thanks to a 107- kilometer extension to a highway.
The highway will be extended after China approved a $700-million loan, while the Costa Rican government will pay $70 million.
It will also help ease trade towards Nicaragua, and will carry a third of all heavy cargo in the country.
