China opens 'window of possibilities for El Salvador'

El Salvador's exporters believe that the new diplomatic reaction with China will boost their business, said Sifrido Reyes, head of the promotion agency Proesa.

The huge size of the Chinese consumer market will encourage El Salvador to produce more, Reyes said, "Now we have an abundance of opportunities that we never had before, because we had no relations with Beijing."

Meanwhile, China has warned the United States from meddling in El Salvador's international affairs.
