China’s gift of national stadium to Costa Rica is in final stages, Chinchilla confirms
The seats are in, the score boards up and the only small details seem to be missing in Costa Rica’s new national stadium, a gift from the Chinese.
During a visit to the stadium, President Laura Chinchilla confirmed that the stadium will be officially inaugurated in March.
The $80 million stadium in San José’s La Sabana Park, a gift from the government of China, is nearing completion.
The behemoth’s seats have been installed, the scoreboards mounted and the playing field lain with grass.
