China's Huawei is thinking big in Central America

Chinese company Huawei Technologies is planning to expand its business in Central America, where it is already a provider for mobile companies such as Europe's Millicom and Mexico's América Móvil.

In Central America, the company will focus on supplying the demand for data and video transmission services.

Huawei established its regional headquarters in Mexico in 1999, subsequently creating a regional office in Guatemala.
