Chinchilla mulls Chinese industry park for Costa Rica

The president of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla, is studying the possibility of building an industrial park in Costa Rica that would serve as a manufacturing and logistics hub for Chinese companies.

During her state visit to Asia, Chinchilla visited Suzhou Industrial Park, in China, home to about 20 thousand companies, a quarter of them foreign.

"This could serve as a model for Costa Rica, although at a much smaller scale", said the Costa Rican Foreign Minister, Enrique Castillo.
