Chinchilla plans to overhaul Comptroller's office

Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla is displeased with the country's Comptroller's office.
Aiming to improve the nation's public institutions, she presented a bill for a law that would take away some of the Comptroller's authority.
According to the project, the changes are substantial, and would help improve the current administration's image after it has received criticism for it's public institutions, particularly on ethical issues.
