Friday, July 29, 2011

\ Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla announced a cabinet reshuffle as she came under further pressure over a massive funding gap in the national healthcare system.\ \ Chinchilla said Health Minister Maria Luisa Avila had stepped down following weeks of criticism of the government over the cash shortfall in the social security system known as la Caja.\ \ Chinchilla said Foreign Minister Rene Castro would likely become Minister of Environment, Energy and Technology.
