Chinese cars lure Costa Rican customers

Sales of Chinese cars in Costa Rica have been growing as companies lure customers with low prices and better fuel efficiency.

Greatwall Motors, Veinsa, Vetrasa and Cori Motors are the main players in the Costa Rican market, who offer cars ranging from $13,000 to $23,000 sports trucks.

Chinese car companies had a hard time establishing a good reputation, as Costa Rican consumers questioned their quality. However, improving technology and design techniques, while keeping prices low, has earned the trust and business of customers.
