Coffee institute offers hope to El Salvador

El Salvador is to become a regional center for the World Coffee Research institute, according to sources in the US-based organization.

The new offices will be based in Santa Ana, and will be backed by the private sector. The arrival comes as El Salvador’s once-thriving coffee industry is in crisis.
