Colombia aims to boost economy through ports

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos aims to substantially improve his country's ports.

Santos has vowed to achieve this goal by expanding, modernizing and building ports and their access routes.

Colombian ports currently handle more than 176 million metric tons a year, with a 20 percent increase since 2010.
