Colombia and Ghana discuss stronger ties
The President of Ghana, John Mahama, and Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos met on Monday at the seventh session of the World Urban Forum.
The two leaders discussed ways of developing further cooperation and mutual support in finding solutions for common issues, especially in the areas of sustainable development and illegal mining.
Mahama said that Ghana, with a growing economy and a growing middle class, offers many opportunities for closer partnership with Colombia, in areas such as developing public-private partnerships to provide mass public transportation systems.
