Colombia exempts tourists from sales tax

Monday, February 29, 2016

Colombia will exempt tourists from paying sales tax as an incentive for people to get to know the country, the country’s president said.

During an address at the country’s largest tourism fair, Anato, Juan Manuel Santos offered foreign tourists an “incentive” by eliminating the 16 percent sales tax on tourism-related services.
