Colombia has potential for Caribbean ports

Colombia has opportunities for the construction of new ports on the Caribbean, according to Jaime Sasso, general director at Santa María International Terminal Company and Barranquilla International Terminal Company.

Opportunities are available for both sea and river ports, particularly on the river Magdalena.

"There are investments in the Pacific that prevent future growth, that's why the Caribbean is more attractive," Sasso said.
