Colombia invites Malaysian investors

Friday, June 28, 2013

Colombia is inviting Malaysian companies to bid for the $40 billion worth of tenders that are being rolled out to fix its rudimentary infrastructures.

The bids come as the country seeks to position itself as a competitive economy in the fast developing Latin America.

Now ranked as the third largest economy in the region, after Brazil and Argentina, Colombia’s gross domestic product grew 3.6 percent to $334 billion last year.
