Colombia and Mexico joined a multilateral tax pact, promoted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development).

The Convention, developed jointly by the OECD and the Council of Europe, is the most comprehensive multilateral instrument available for tax co-operation and exchange of information, designed to aid nations in countering cross-border tax evasion.

“You are taking important steps to further strengthen global co-operation and we look forward to working together to maximize the benefits which will accrue to you and to the wider international community", said the OECD to Colombian and Mexican representatives.
