Colombia orders $2.4 billion in budget cuts

The Colombian government has slashed its budget for this year by $2.4 billion to ensure fiscal stability as oil prices slump.

The government reckoned that the budget would be based on an oil price of $80 per barrel. Now the price is about $50.
