Colombia pre-qualifies 20 firms for major road projects

The Government of Colombia pre-qualified 20 companies to carry out the Río Magdalena 1 and 2 highway projects.

The project is worth more than $1.1 billion, and will connect the west of the country to the east, linking key regions such as Antioquia and the coffee growing region.

Among the companies that took part in the bid were firms from Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Austria, India, Peru, Ukraine, Brazil and Switzerland.
