Colombia's Avianca sees $545 million bond emission

Colombian Airline Avianca is expecting to generate $545 million through a public offering in Wall Street.

The airline said it plans to use the funds on renewing its fleet, with 98 new aircraft through 2019.

In the first eight months of this year, Avianca and its subsidiaries moved more than 16.3 million passengers, an 8.3 percent increase compared with the same period last year.
