Colombia's Ecopetrol nets best results in four years

With a net profit of $2.3 billion in 2017, Colombia's state-controlled oil company Ecopetrol recorded its best financial results in four years.

The increased profitability was based upon a higher crude prices and improved efficiency in recovering oil from the ground.
