Colombia’s EPM takes new $200 million bite at region

EPM, the group formed by the municipal companies of Medellin, Colombia, paid $200 million to acquire Panama’s Ensa and El Salvador’s Delsur.
The acquisition was part of a $4.8 billion sale of the Latin American interests of AEI of the United States.
Late last year, EPM paid $635 million for the Guatemalan power company Eegsa and its 900,000 clients.
