Colombia's oil production up 1.6 percent

Average oil production in Colombia exceeded 1 million barrels per day in October, up 1.6 percent from the same month of 2013, the Mines and Energy Ministry said.

Crude production last month also surpassed September's output of 993,000 barrels per day, the ministry added.

Average daily crude production through the first 10 months of 2014, meanwhile, came in at 987,000 barrels, according to the report.
