Colombia's Proexport attracted record investments

Colombia's investment promotion agency, Proexport, lured 11 percent more investments into the country last year, compared to 2012.

Proexport's efforts attracted 73 investment projects from 20 countries, reaching $2.4 billion, the highest number in its history, the institution said.

Last year's investments created more than 26,000 jobs, 9 percent more than in 2012, Proexport President María Claudia Lacouture, said.
