Colombia's trade deficit is ballooning

Colombia's trade deficit grew 579 percent from January to September compared with the same period last year.

The figure represents a growth $66.2 million to $449 million.

Colombia could also face a drop in foreign direct investment, as investors lose interest in oil projects there.
