Colombia sued for billions by Canadian miner

Colombia’s government is facing a $16.5 billion lawsuit following a dispute over a mining permit in the protected nature reserve of Yaigoje-Apaporis National Park in the south of the country, reported media.
Cosigo Resources, a Canada-based mining company, is suing the Colombian government for allegedly violating the free trade agreement the South American country has with Canada.
