Colombian firms take $10 billion stake in El Salvador

The acquisition by Protección of AFP Crecer is the latest indication of the $10 billion that Colombian companies have invested into El Salvador over the last decade.
Banks, textile companies, housing groups, laboratories, plastics makers and such beach hotels as the Decameron Salinitas are only part of what the Colombians have developed in El Salvador. Colombian business groups have launched major mergers and acquisitions in banking, aviation and energy distribution.
