Colombian May inflation surges to 15-year high

Amid a severe economic slowdown, Colombia’s inflation rate reached 8.2 percent in May, the highest it has been since 2001 when rates hit 8.49 percent.

According to the country’s statistics agency, food costs spiked 13.46 percent compared to a year ago.
