Colombian power is blowing in the wind

The wind industry will invest nearly $2 billion in Colombia following the award of 1077 MW of capacity in last month’s tender, according to the Global Wind Energy Council.

The trade association estimates onshore wind will account for $1.8 billion of the total renewables investment of around $2.2 billion resulting from the 1298 MW tender, Reuters reports.
