Colombian stock market a surprising star

Colombia is suffering from stagflation, but you wouldn’t know it from the performance of the local stock market.
This South American oil-exporting country faces rising inflation and weak economic growth amid a drop in the value of the peso, a decline in real incomes, and a rise in food prices due to drought. But the seemingly dire economic situation is not reflected in equity prices, which are up 12 percent so far this year.
