Colón Free Zone trade drops 11 percent in quarter

Commercial activity in the Colón Free Zone of Panama, dropped by 11 percent in this year's first quarter.

During the period, trade in the zone reached $6.5 billion, down by $847 million in the same period of 2012.

The volume of trade in goods fell sharply. At 487,000 metric tons, the drop was almost 13 percent year on year.
