Colón is the engine room of Western Hemisphere trade

The Colón free zone in Panama registered $22.6 billion in trade last year, almost a double what it reached five years ago.
The zone imported $10.2 billion and exported $11.4 billion.
There are 2,940 companies in the zone and 30,000 people are employed in what is the leading trade distribution in the Western Hemisphere.
