Companies in Honduras reject government’s plan for World Cup holiday

Employees of companies in the private sector of Honduras will continue to work as usual tomorrow while the national squad’s inaugural World Cup game is on screened by TV.

By contrast, officials and workers in the state sector will be given free time to watch all of the Honduran three matches of the first phase in the tournament.

Tomorrow’s game between Chile and Honduras is due to be screened at 5.30 a.m. local time.
