Competition heats up in Costa Rica supermarkets

Costa Rica is in the middle of a supermarket boom, with two of the country's largest companies announcing plans to grow.
Auto Mercado will start to compete in the convenience store sector, and hopes to open a total of 18 stores, called Vindi, by 2013.
Curacao recently opened its 15th store. It plans to have a total of 43 stores by 2013.
