Concessions key to boost Costa Rica infrastructure

Costa Rica would boost its infrastructure through highway, energy plants and other concessions, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

However, the government is currently unable to fund any concessions, and there is uncertainty in the country's concession system due to previous issues in the past years.

The success of concessions is seen in projects such as route 27, Caldea port and the Juan Santamaría and Daniel Oduber airports, all of which have helped ease operations and trade.
