Construction gets underway at Gary Player Design´s golf course in Honduras at Los Micos Beach and Golf Resort

Global golf course designer Gary Player visited his first project in Honduras, Los Micos Beach & Golf Resort to review the construction progress and to work with the Los Micos' environmental consultant to closely review areas along the coast that have environmentally sensitive dunes and vegetation.

"Maintaining the natural characteristics of the land and protecting the environment is not something we just talk about, it is a very important aspect of this and every course we design," said Gary Player.

"This is an absolutely beautiful part of Honduras and the site is fantastic. The Caribbean Sea will be visible from a number of holes and the sand dunes throughout the site contrast wonderfully against it."
