Container port causes clash in Costa Rica

Costa Rican President Luis Guillermo Solís's stance regarding the construction of a new shipping dock in the post of Moín has divided workers and business leaders, Costa Rican daily La República reported.

Solís supports the government's decision to allow the construction of the terminal, a move that is seen by businesses as key to attract investment.

But port workers have expressed their opposition, claiming the project is a private monopoly and will become an obstacle for competitiveness.
