Convenience stores are booming in Costa Rica

Circle K, a new competitor in Costa Rica’s convenience-store market, will open Wednesday.

The new shop will be the first of 50 that Circle K plans over the next five years.

This is part of a 420% expansion in the number of convenience stores in Costa Rica since 2009.
