Conviasa to fly to Managua and Panama

Venezuela's state airline Conviasa announced it will start operating two new direct routes this year to Central America.

The first route is scheduled to start on December 5 to Panama City, while the second will start on December 7 to Managua, Nicaragua, Venezuelan Minister for Air and Maritime Transport Hebert García said.

"Dear friend Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, we will soon be able to permanently fly between Managua and Caracas," said Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro to his Nicaraguan counterpart and his wife, during the announcement of the new flights.
