Copa Airlines to cut flights to Venezuela

Panama's Copa Airlines will cut its services to Venezuela by 47 percent, the Venezuelan Airlines Association said.

The new measure, confirmed by Copa, will come into effect in August this year, and includes the elimination of one of its three daily flights between Panama and Caracas.

Copa is the latest of several international airlines to cut or eliminate services to Venezuela, due to the South American country's strict currency controls that have trapped billions of dollars belonging to the airlines.
