Costa Rica aims for $300 million Spanish-built train

Costa Rica could soon have a Spanish-built modern passenger train, the Costa Rican newspaper La República said.

The president of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla, travelled to Spain and will sign a memorandum of understanding in order to promote the project.

The cost of the project was estimated in the preliminary studies to have a cost of $300 million.
