Costa Rica aims to invest $42 million in construction of airport for south of country

The Embraer 190 and Airbus A320, each with a passenger capacity of 150, will be the largest commercial aircraft to be able to land in a new international airport to be built in southern Costa Rica.
The aiport will fulfill a campaign promise by the president, Laura Chinchilla. Construction is due to be completed by the end of her administration.
Initially, the new airport is expected to require an investment of $42 million.
