Costa Rica aims to put new laws on to a fast track

Instead of years debating new laws, Costa Rican legislators could be resolving issues within months.

Laws that are likely to be fast-tracked are this involving public works, new taxes, rules to control government spending, reductions in over-generous state pensions, and same-sex marriages.
