Costa Rica aims to strengthen links with Brazil on oil imports and ethanol

Costa Rica’s foreign minister, René Castro, told his Brazilian counterpart, Antonio Patriota, that his country wants to increase cooperation in energy.
After a meeting in Brasilia, Castro said that Costa Rica wants to increase its purchases of Brazilian crude and oil products.
He also pointed out that Costa Rica is planning to use 5 percent of ethanol in gasoline, and that it hopes to raise the percentage.
