Thursday, March 7, 2019

Costa Rican president Carlos Alvarado aims to attract such technology giants as Google, Amazon and Microsoft during a trip next week to Silicon Valley and Seattle.

All three companies are believed to be interested in investing in Costa Rica, or increasing their operations there, Alvarado said in proclaiming Costa Rica's potential as a destination for major offices in sectors such as digital technology, corporate services and manufacturing technology.

The agenda for the trip includes meetings with Intel and Amazon, which already have considerable experience and thousands of current and former employees in the country, La República reports, in Spanish.
