Costa Rica air traffic to be trebled through 2036

Wednesday, September 19, 2018

The future of air traffic in Central America, the regulatory framework, the benefits of connectivity and the challenges faced by the need for bigger and better airports are the main topics of debate at an event today in the Hotel Intercontinental of the Costa Rican capital, San José.

The event is to celebrate the Central American Aviation Day conference, organized by IATA, the association of world airlines.

Aviation will be of growing importance to Costa Rica in the coming years. IATA reckons that the number of passengers worldwide will be trebled by 2036.
