Costa Rica and Honduras best against coffee rust

Costa Rica and Honduras are Central Americas top countries in fighting against coffee rust fungus.

The two countries were the first in declaring emergency and approving funds to help coffee growers.

Elías de Melo, coordinator of the Roya-CATIE project, said both countries responded well thanks to teamwork between the growers, coffee institutions and Governments.
